Corporate sustainability to the textile industry

2022/11/11

The garment and textile industry had been regarded as a high-polluting issue.
By the environmental protection awareness arising, to reduce the carbon emission is global mission.

To develop eco-friendly fabric, the yarns we used recycled from plastic bottles; it converting them into raw materials for new products. These have a lower environmental impact compare to traditional polyester.  Now, we have a better way to achieve the goal by using digital technology.

Jan Higer of Hilger Consulting, a German consultancy, said:“Digitization is the most safety way but uncommon when the enterprise facing survival for the future. Corporate sustainability development included People、Product、Process, as far as concerned, the Process is an executive guide to transform digitization somehow it is ignored by the most people.”
One thing that can drive digitization is the process in product development. By using of 3D technology image, this type of method can replace the traditional way while providing the A4 card of fabric swatch plus transportation time. Not only shorten the time and being more efficiency but also decreases carbon emissions.

In developing corporate sustainability, this kind of method can be as a key value. Label printing on products can also be operating in digitization. For brand owners, they used to print various labels and hang it on the product in order to clearly indicate or convey message to the customers.  In contrast, the customers remove the label and even think this is unnecessary. To remove the label printing is the best way to reduce unessential waste if this information and some message which are transform into digitization.
